Poster Research
Kelly Anna

- The posters are bold and grab the audience's attention through the use of high contrast, as well as a clear and considered colour palette.
- The use of text on the poster is what's most interesting, the composition really works with the imagery on the poster. The image on the right in particular is framed by the text making it stand out whilst ensuring the imagery is the focal point of the poster.
- How could the text be used on the poster as well as presentation (or even within the screening).
- What do we want to be communicating with the use of text, comply to the rules, or break them? And how would this impact the overall aesthetic.
- The hierarchy within the poster works very well. The poster on the right presents the feeling of being very regal and luxurious, this is complimented by the subtle placement of text. The poster on the left is far more obnoxious in it's presentation, it's bold and punchy with contrasting colours to further this.
- The interaction between image and text is what gives these posters their aestehtic, think about how own poster could encapsulate this and develop a visual true to the film, while remaining current..
